Curriculum Vitae
Hortensia Mecha was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1967. In 1990, she received his M.S. degree in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), and the PhD in Physics from the same University in 1996.
She has hold several positions with the Department of Computer Architecture and Automation of the UCM. Since 1994 she has been Associate Professor of Computer Architecture and Technology. Currently, she works as assistant professor of Computer Architecture and Technology at the Computer Science Faculty of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in the Department of Computer Architecture and Automation.
Her research interests include several aspects of the computer-aided design of integrated circuits with particular emphasis on automated synthesis and optimization of integrated circuits. Nowadays she is also working with dynamically reconfigurable hardware, and the interesting possibilities that incorporating such resources in a general-purpose computer offers, as well as the new problems posed by its management as any other resource by the operating system.
