====== Call For Papers ====== **2010 Summer Computer Simulation Conference (SCSC'10) ** ===== WORK-IN-PROGRESS PAPER SUBMISSION OPEN. DEADLINE: April 20th, 2010 ===== [[authors_instructions|SUBMISSION OPEN - READ INSTRUCTIONS HERE]] SCSC’10 is focused on basic and applied research in modeling and simulation. Modeling and Simulation is a very critical area for supporting Research and Development as well as competitiveness worldwide; new technologies are enabling new use of M&S and increasing its impact in new areas; SCSC provides an International Forum for presenting the State of the Art in the International Simulation Community as well as the Effectiveness of Simulation Experiences in World Businesses. Several topical perspectives will serve to illuminate the evolution of the modeling and simulation community. The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and governmental and industrial investigators to exchange ideas and discuss developments in this growing field. Papers must be written in English and must not exceed 8 pages. Authors should submit papers through the **[[http://softconf.com/scs/SCSC10/ | SCSC SUBMISSION SYSTEM]]**, complying with the [[http://168.143.44.55/PDFs/formattingkit.pdf| CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS FORMAT]]. **Submitted papers must not have been submitted for review or published (partially or completely) elsewhere**. Every paper will be peer-reviewed by at least three different individuals. Papers will be accepted based on originality, correctness, and quality of writing. The authors of the accepted paper must register in advance for inclusion of their paper in the conference proceedings, and at least one author of each accepted paper must present the work at the conference (papers not presented will not be included in the post-print, including any Digital Libraries). Short papers of 4 to 6 pages, describing work in progress, can also be submitted. All submissions will be reviewed based on the draft full paper. The best contributed paper will be given an award. After the conference, a Special Issue with topics derived from the conference will be proposed to the journal Simulation (SCS). Extended versions of the best Full Papers will be candidates for this issue. Upon approval (pending), the final versions of the papers will be included in the [[http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1357910&coll=Portal&dl=GUIDE&CFID=79665443&CFTOKEN=62098018 | ACM Digital Library]] and the [[ http://EUDL.EU|European Digital Library]]. TOCs will be sent to [[http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/conf/scsc/scsc2007.html|DBLP]].
