He was born in Don Benito (Spain) in 1975. He received his M.S. in Physics in 1998 at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), and his Ph.D. degree at the same University (2004).

Currently, he is assistant professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid at Madrid (Spain).

He belongs to the ArTeCS research group. This group is integrated for researchers interested in the conception and construction of digital information processing systems, and its efficient application regarding performance, energy consumption, and cost.

He is primarily interested in research in the following areas:

• Computational theory of modeling and simulation, with emphasis on Discrete Event Systems Specification (DEVS)
• Dynamic memory management for embedded systems
• Evolutionary Computation
