In this field, the ISCAR group applies different optimization techniques (linear, integer and mixed programming techniques; bio-inspired heuristics) to many real complex problems.
Among the optimization problems solved we highlight:
Logistic optimization problems (proposed by REPSOL, COFARES y ENAGAS)
Unmanned (air and marine) vehicle trajectory planning in complex, hostile, uncertain environments (proposed, among others, by AIRBUS)
Beer fermentation process
Optimal parameterization of different types of controllers
